HURRICANE KATRINA NEWS FLASH! IMMEDIATE HELP IS AVAILABLE!
Special thanks to all of the
companies that are working with us on the Katrina Disaster Relief
Efforts. The Atlanta Black Business Association and the Stringer
Foundation has adopted hotels in College Park that are housing
the Katrina Disaster Evacuees. The hotels are, Howard Johnson’s,
Motel 6, and the Comfort Inn. The families are receiving assistance
including chartered transportation to DFAC’s facilities,
gas cards, Kroger Gift Certificates, Marta Cards, Mental Health
Counseling Services, medical attention and housing referral
services that include permanent housing placement. Administrative
support is provided for resumes, faxes and job searches. The
Stringer Foundation has agreed to purchase new clothing to be
utilized by evacuees for job interviews. School supplies are
available for all school aged children. Lap Tops will also be
provided for FEMA Registration and supervised instructions.
Permanent Housing placement is made available through MOGO,
Member’s of God’s Army.
